Plein Air invites Practitioners (writers, actors, designers) to pursue their ideas... It offers Participants (audiences, general public) the chance to engage with places in new and unexpected ways. It connects with Partners (businesses, organisations) towards mutually productive outcomes.
Background
Plein Air Company is the result of Michelle Dorian’s experiences with theatre and events companies and more recently, tourism-driven festivals and events.
Michelle has produced, directed, acted, written, taught performance workshops and been on the board for various companies including Moreland Theatre Company, Castlemaine Theatre Company, Art With Heart; and Comme’Arte’Fo, an Italian language theatre company. Her behind-the-scenes experience includes overseeing sponsorships for Melbourne Theatre Company and managing ticketing/front of house teams for the Wheeler Centre for Books, Writing & Ideas; the Festival of Voices in Hobart and the Goldfields Gothic Festival in Maldon.
Michelle is currently gathering creative people to develop ‘theatre anywhere’ in Central Victoria and will be seeking financial support to bring stories alive in unexpected places for audiences in 2025.
